QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE Live At The Avalon Ballroom (2008 issue UK 8-track CD album - This early period performance of the band was captured on the 9th September 1966 in San Francisco, at the Avalon Ballroom, one of the most important venues in San Francisco operated by Chet Helms and his Family Dog Productions. Includes 'Pride of Man' which would grace the band's debut album some eighteen months later, alongside two other tracks heavily associated with Quicksilver: 'Babe I'mGonna Leave You' and 'Codeine'. There is also a 20+ minute version of 'Hoochie Coochie Man' which highlights the musical interplay of the band and their jamming skills. Complete with picture inlay, the disc comes issued in the factory sealed jewel case)
