JAMES WHITE & The BLACKS Sax Maniac (1982 UK 7-track vinyl LP, gold promo stamped picture sleeve. Emerging from the NY 'No Wave' scene White's band admirably attempted to play James Brown styled funk 'n' soul whilst not being, how shall we say, the most gifted of musicians! The results were an often explosive mix of skronking sax, juddering rhythms all topped off with White's impassioned delivery. The sleeve on this copy shows some minor signs of storage wear whilst the vinyl looksbarely played CHR1401)
