It follows the story of Hilly Kristal's New York club from its concept as a venue for Country, Bluegrass and Blues [CBGB] to what it ultimately became: the birthplace of underground rock'n' roll and punk; including tracks by Talking Heads, MC5, New York Dolls, Television, Blondie, The Stooges and more. The gatefold picture sleeve has images from the film and sleevenotes printed across the inside while the two vinyl discs looks barely played)
