13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS Live (Rare original 1968 US 10-track vinyl
LP on the legendary International Artists label - a 'live' album actually
recorded in the studio with audience noise added later. The importance
of this first pressing is that the original master tapes were lost in the
early '70s, so all subsequent reissues were from inferior copies. No
mono mix of this album exists. This copy has some light foxing, a spot
of paperloss and general shelfwear present but nothing drastic whilst
the vinyl displays minimal signs of light play - it doesn't get any better
than this! IALP#8)

13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS Music Of The Spheres (Incredible
2011 UK limited edition remastered 8LP and 1 x 10" Vinyl
boxset. This stunning set is surely the ultimate for the
psychedelic afficiando - so what do you get for your money?
You get the legendary debut album 'Psychedelic Sounds Of'
expanded to a double vinyl set featuring both mono and
stereo mixes, Easter Everywhere, again in mono and stereo
mixes, Bull Of The Woods now expanded to include a set of
contemporaneous rare singlesand b-sides, a previously
unreleased 11-track album entitled 'The Contact Sessions'
which features completely different set of mixes of tracks
from the first album and a previously unreleased live set
[recorded under the influence of LSD!], phew! Added to this is
a wonderful 6-track 10", designed to recreate the original
'Sumet Sounds' acetate. The packaging is also of the same
high calibre, all LPs are housed inside a 12" x 12" box with lift
off lid and trippy lenticular image, a superb 12" x 12" 44 page
colour book, three 8" x 8" lenticular prints of the first three
albums sleeves - and as a neat final touch a numbered
certificate, this copy is number 0449 of 3000. The box shows
some shelfwear scuffing but all the sleeves on this copy
remain in near 'as new' condition, and while some of the vinyl
records show the odd inaudible surface scuff, these will not
affect play and are nothing more than cosmetic. A superb set,
that is a must for any 13th Floor Elevators collector IA16)
