JIMMY SMITH Christmas Cookin' (One-Sided Test Pressing for
Side A of the 1968 UK stereo LP, featuring the first four
tracks. The label is plain white with artist & title annotation &
a 'stereo' rubber stamp. The matrix 'V6 8604 A-1G' is machine
stamped in the run-out. Although this is just the first side of
the record, it was never intended for sale to the general
public. It is a unique one-off purely made to test the sonics
before any type of release. The vinyl grades VG with a small
handful of light paper hairline scuffs which have very little to
no effect on play SVLP9231)

JIMMY SMITH Eighth Wonder Of The World (2010 issue UK CD album
- Miles Davis was said to have described Jimmy Smith as 'the Eighth Wonder of the
World'. Jimmy refined and modernised jazz organ. His
work defined what today remains the standard approach to the
instrument. In essence, he made the Hammond organ perform the
work of an entire Jazz trio: using the left hand for chordal
accompaniment, right hand for lead, and both feet to produce a
walking bass line. This 12-track collection compiles his miraculous
late-fifties recordings that took the jazz world by a storm, including
'The Champ', 'After Hours' and 'The Sermon')
