A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...
| PINK FLOYD The Dark Side Of The Moon (Ultra Rare 1973 UK first
press 10-track vinyl LP with SOLID PRISM labels with silver
lettering, Gramophone Co. perimeter text, complete with the original
black poly lined inner, two stickers & two posters. The classic gatefold
picture sleeve on this version differs from later issues in that it has a
single right-side pocket opening only & displays a subtle green tinge
unlike the jet black print of later issues, and has the circular
hypestic #Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Timeker attached. This earliest collector's pressing has the
machine stamped A2/B2 matrices in the run-outs but does NOT have
the well known skip during the track 'Money'. Please see 'more info'
for condition details... SHVL804)
Tracklisting: Condition
The matte sleeve is the earliest version with just the back section of the gatefold open. These sleeves have a subtle green tinge. The inner left logo text is in blue.
The sleeve grades Very Good & shows general shelfwear with a bit of edge scuffing & a few light indentations, but remains in very acceptable condition, and has mentioned, has the original hype sticker attached.
The inner is the correct black poly lined variety that appeared on both the first & second issues & has aged a little & remains fully intact.
The self-adhesive stickers have a white backing paper with 'adestor Torros Hostench so' on the paper, both matte with no catalogue number print. These look to have been manufactured in Spain for the UK market, with the ones used for the Spanish first issue are different. Historically correct, with details found on the well know Pink Floyd online archive.
The stickers are unused & the fold-out posters are flat & undisplayed.
The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & play tested. The vinyl is strictly graded Very Good & exhibits multiple paper hairlines either side & the occasional faint scratch but playback confirms incredible sound quality. This noted collector's pressing is on the 'TAS' list [Harry Pearson's The Absolute Sound audiophile magazine list] & for good reason. There is no jump during the track 'Money' & just a little faint ambient surface in the quieter sections with the odd quiet click on occasion. Playback remains at a solid VG+ level. Always in demand, these do not come up for sale often, this copy is available at an advantageous price.

Devotion. 1981 dancefloor favourites are featured from Earth, Wind & Fire and Odyssey, ahead of extended 12” versions of pop gems from Dollar, Haircut 100 and 'Physical' from Olivia Newton-John. 1981 was a stellar year for UK artists on the charts, and included here, Duran Duran with the 'Night Version' of 'Planet Earth', the 12” Versions of The Human League's 'The Sound Of The Crowd', and 'Glow' from Spandau Ballet, plus the Extended Version of the era-defining #1 'Ghost Town' by The Specials. LP3 continues the celebration with synth-pop essentials, extended versions from Talk Talk, Heaven 17, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, Soft Cell, Japan, Gary Numan and Simple Minds.

Sylvester, and Donna Summer - all in their extended glory alongside dance-floor gold from Carly Simon, Rockers Revenge feat. Donnie Calvin, Kool & The Gang and Shalamar with the 12” mix of the peerless 'A Night To Remember'.
The Final LP collects 10 of 1982's premier pop moments in their 12” versions:- ABC lead with 'The Look Of Love, Pt.1' (Special Remix), followed by smashes from Bananarama, Bow Wow Wow, Altered Images and Bucks Fizz..and flip the LP over for Tears For Fears with the long version of 'Pale Shelter', Blancmange with 'Living On The Ceiling', The Associates, a second track and harder-to-find dance mix from Visage, and signing off with 'Reap The Wild Wind' in its' extended version from Ultravox.
