40-CD set, presented in a slipcase box. His exceptional touch and
sense of phrasing, his deep and personal understanding of the
most varied repertoires, or even the legendary trio he formedtogether with Jacques Thibaud and Pablo Casals, made Alfred
Cortot the greatest pianist of his time. Master of many disciples,
notably the brilliant Dinu Lipatti, Samson François and Clara
Haskil, Cortot also had a lasting influence on the Russian piano
school through Samuil Feinberg and Heinrich Neuhaus, the latter
himself being the revered teacher of Sviatoslav Richter. All of the
recordings in this set have undergone careful sound restoration
in 2012, in order to respect as closely as possible the original
sound. The CDs are in BRAND NEW condition housed in the box

Casablanca label 10-track vinyl LP, housed in a gatefold
picture sleeve complete with 4-page Japanese text
biography/lyric insert, superb 28½" x 20" fold-out poster,
unused set of stickers featuring the album artwork and
discography obi-strip, plus second obi which mentions the
poster. The glue on the sticker set, with age, is no longer
sticky but is still complete. The sleeve and both obi's have
just light age wear and the vinyl shows minimal signs of play.
