Tracklisting: The Flaming Lips unveil a new limited-edition vinyl EP entitled Hypnotist. It notably collects four fan favourite tracks previously only available on the 6-CD Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots 20th Anniversary Box Set. Now, they grace the 32-minute Psychedelic Hypnotist Daydream, giving the songs a vinyl release for the very first time. The track listing notably boasts the immersive 24-minute sonic head-trip “Psychedelic Hypnotist Day Dream (demo),” which unfurls as one of the group’s most epic gems to date. Additionally, it includes the “Duck Dodgers Theme (Duck Dodgers Demo: With Wayne Scratch Vocal),” “I Know I’ve Got To Make That Dream The Real Thing (Demo),” and, finally, “Do You Realize?? Tracklisting: I can think of about half a dozen records where the matrices actually make a difference and this is one of them.
In April 1970 the original 8 track masters were transferred to 16 track and further overdubs and remixing took place. The A1/B1 version of this record contains the first mixdown from the original 8 track masters.
Condition:
The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear with the tiniest bit of edge scuffing and remains in superb condition.
The vinyl remains near 'as new' and has retained its sheen with very little sign of play.
