The new, re-recorded version of 1989 is out October 27, 2023. The album has four separate versions of the back cover photo. The tracklist includes new versions of the hit singles "Shake It Off," "Blank Space," "Style," "Wildest Dreams," and "Bad Blood." The original version of the album was co-written and produced with Max Martin. In addition to its commercial success, 1989 won Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2016 Grammy Awards.
1989 (Taylor's Version) is the fourth release in Swift's series of re-recorded albums — a project that began when she was denied the opportunity to buy back her masters. In 2021, she released Fearless and Red, and Speak Now arrived earlier this year.
