 | LED ZEPPELIN Physical Graffiti (Impossibly Rare Test
Pressing for the classic 1975 UK 15-track double LP, one of the
band's most diverse & challenging records which, when finally
released in February 1975, instantly became their best seller, with one
reviewer (Jim Miller, Rolling Stone mag) calling it the band’s “Tommy,
Beggar’s Banquet & Sgt. Pepper rolled into one...” This extremely rare
test pressing, which we have never even seen before, pre-dates the
release. Demand forthe #Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Timerecord was so high, especially in the States
with advance orders exceeding 500,000, that it became the first album
by anyone to achieve platinum status simply on advance sales. The
plain labels have pasted notation of the side indicator, tracklisting and
track length attached to each labels. The matrices in the run-outs are
machine stamped & end A1/B1/C1/D1 (these are the earliest matrices
you will find for the album) & both parts are housed in plain card
reference sleeves, also annotated artist & album title. The discs are
grade Excellent, with the vinyl on all four sides very clean with light
wear and just the the odd cosmetic scuff & hairline which has little
effect on play. A vital piece of British Rock history! SSK89400)
