 | THOMPSON TWINS / HOWARD JONES In Concert (Rare original
US vinyl 2-LP Westwood One radio show, first broadcast the
weekend of 3rd–5th August 1984, both acts recorded at the
Glasgow Apollo in Scotland on different nights. The program
features complete live performances, divided into six
segments with original commercials and announcer intros.
The Thompson Twins set includes classics like Into The Gap,
Doctor! Doctor!, You Take Me Up, and Hold Me Now, while
Howard Jones delivers stunning live renditions of What Is
Love?, Equality, and Dreams of a Better Place. These
syndicated concerts were often recorded live or compiled
from live performances, and distributed via vinyl to radio
stations across the U.S. Shows like this allowed audiences
nationwide to hear artists they might not see live and were an
important medium for music discovery in the pre-digital era.
Housed in a plain card sleeve with the original cue sheet, the
vinyl has only a few light signs of play)
