MILES DAVIS E.S.P. (Astounding audiophile quality stereo 180-gram vinyl LP pressing at 33RPM from Impex Records, remastered from the original analogue tapes by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Originally released in 1965 this inventive post-bop treasure finds Miles totally reenergized by the young talent of his second quintet. The album is a brilliantly excecuted exercise in tension and release! Faithfully reproduced sleeve and labels of the finest quality, sealed with its gold elliptical Impex Records sticker. A simply beautiful pressing!)

Tracklisting: This was the first time Wayne Shorter recorded with Miles, and the band — in this configuration — had been together for less than a year. As you will hear, the connection between the musicians is uncanny, as if they had been playing together for decades. Especially notice Wayne Shorter’s brilliant interplay with Miles on the closing track “Mood,” the haunting ballad written by bassist Ron Carter. Personnel: Miles Davis - trumpet Wayne Shorter - tenor sax Tony Williams - drums Ronald Carter - bass Herb Hancock - piano Side 1 1. E.S.P. 2. Eighty-One 3. Little One 4. R.J. Side 2 1. Agitation 2.
