Picture Disc LP including the classic tracks '2 Minutes To
Midnight' and the epic 'Rime Of The Ancient Mariner'. This copy has
the known pressing error where near the end of thetitle track it
speeds up. The disc features the superb sphinx 'Eddie' pyramid
artwork on the front and band members in a tomb image on the back.
This example has a minor scuff of the first track on Side B, but plays
through without any issues,an Excellent copy. POWERP1)

The rhythm section is propelled by Steve Gorman's take-charge yet musical drumming. Johnny Colt remains on bass, but since Money Maker, Marc Ford has replaced rhythm guitarist Jeff Cease in the band and Ed Harsh has replaced Chuck Leavell in the studio on keyboards. The Black Crowes' 1992 album The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion has been remastered for vinyl reissue. The album remastering has been overseen by Chris and Rich Robinson and album producer George Drakoulias. Audio was sourced from the original 1/4" production master tape.
The second studio album by the band, it was the group's first to feature Marc Ford on lead guitar, replacing Jeff Cease, who was fired the year before, and the first to feature keyboardist Eddie Harsch. The album's name derives from the full name of the Southern Harmony, an influential 1835 hymnal compiled by William Walker.
