CAPTAIN BEEFHEART & MAGIC BAND Safe As Milk (Cult classic debut 1967 UK 12-track mono LP on the powder blue Pye label, showcasing the Captain's amalgamation of moods, from the blues feeling of Grown So Ugly to the dream like atmosphere of I'm Glad. A superb album that shows why he attained such a cult following. The 'fish eye' lens sleeve benefits from tight laminate, secure flipbacks & no discolouring on the back. There is just the lightest of creasing in the laminate around the edges but this is very minor. The heavyweight vinyl is a beauty & oh-so clean. Under a bright light, there are some spindle marks & a few mild paper scuffs or faint hairlines but these do not interfere with playback. A wonderful, Excellent condition first press)
