This guitar was the original electric travel guitar & was immortalised in 'Back To The Future' when Michael J Fox plugged it in & blew his amp apart.

It was designed by Billy Gibbons & Mark Erlewine in 1979. This is the Hondo licenced version with TWO DiMarzio pickups - a single coil at the neck & what appears to be a super distortion humbucker at the bridge. The current Erlewine models (yours for over £400 WITHOUT the case!) only have ONE humbucker at the bridge.

The signatures in silver marker are evenly spaced about the body & also have 'ZZ Top' in the top left corner in what looks like either Frank or Billy's handwriting. Frank has signed in the bottom left under the volume knob, Dusty in the bottom right under the single coil & Billy in the top right above the pickup selector switch.

This guitar is in fantastic condition & has obviously been kept in the case from new. It is complete with the original accessories - Case Keys, two allen keys, plectrum bag & lead - even the bag of silica gel!

The case itself measures 31" x 10" x 4" deep approximately & is small enough to be accepted as hand luggage by most Airlines, so you really can take it anywhere.
It is fur lined, custom shaped to fit the guitar, and even has a space for a mini practice amp (Mini Fender Twin would be my guess). Finished in a superb tan leather look with three gold effect clasps.

This is a superb guitar in new & unused condition, signed by ALL of ZZ Top ... 'Nuff Said !
