 | HAWKWIND Hawkwind (1970 UK 7 track stereo vinyl LP .From the
little acorn that was 'Hurry On Sundown' came this fine sapling that is
the first Hawkwind album. Topped and tailed by some nice acoustic
pieces is some of the fiercest electronic rockever to be recorded in
the UK- Think 'Saucerful of Secrets' meets Amon Duul. This copy is in
fine condition with a small bump to the rear panel and a little notable
spine/edgewear to the gatefold matt sleeve . The vinyl too is
magnificent & far from the usual wrecked condition[mirroring the
condition of most previousowners!]. Just to make it interesting, this
copy is on the BLUE Liberty label with A1/B1 matrices,
meaning that this is one of the first five hundred copies off of the
presses. The bass certainly seems to have more punch than the CD
remasters, probably because this is certainly from the original master
tape. All in all an amazing EX condition copy of the rarest pressing of
the rarest Hawkwind album that you'd be unlikely to better & certainly
the best we have seen in twenty five years - Essential! LBS83348)
