| THE BLACK CROWES The Southern Harmony And Musical
Companion (2015 UK/EU limited edition 10-track double
album 2-LP pressed on 180-gram black vinyl. Their 1992
second studio album includes the singles Remedy, Thorn In
My Pride, Sting Me and Hotel Illness. Housed inside a
single-pocket picture sleeve with lyric insert, factory sealed)
Tracklisting: "Everything on The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion works, including the oblique title, which Chris Robinson took from a hymnal. The rhythm section is propelled by Steve Gorman's take-charge yet musical drumming. Johnny Colt remains on bass, but since Money Maker, Marc Ford has replaced rhythm guitarist Jeff Cease in the band and Ed Harsh has replaced Chuck Leavell in the studio on keyboards. These changes have only improved the rich tapestry of sound that backs Chris Robinson's singing and his brother's flamethrower lead guitar. George Drakoulia's production is sharp enough to give every instrument its proper voice, yet the sound has the welcome looseness and texture of a concert recording." — 3.5 Stars, Gregory Curtis, Rolling Stone
The Black Crowes' 1992 album The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion has been remastered for vinyl reissue. The album remastering has been overseen by Chris and Rich Robinson and album producer George Drakoulias. Audio was sourced from the original 1/4" production master tape.
The second studio album by the band, it was the group's first to feature Marc Ford on lead guitar, replacing Jeff Cease, who was fired the year before, and the first to feature keyboardist Eddie Harsch. The album's name derives from the full name of the Southern Harmony, an influential 1835 hymnal compiled by William Walker.

Tracklisting: Academy Award-winning composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross create a sparse and haunting score for the Ken Burns and Lyn Novick documentary series The Vietnam War featuring over 90 minutes of new, original music.
THE VIETNAM WAR is a new 10-part series directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick. In an immersive narrative, Burns and Novick tell the epic story of the Vietnam War as it has never before been told on film.
THE VIETNAM WAR features testimony from nearly 80 witnesses, including many Americans who fought in the war and others who opposed it, as well as Vietnamese combatants and civilians from both the winning and losing sides. Ten years in the making, the series brings the war and the chaotic epoch it encompassed viscerally to life. Written by Geoffrey C. Ward, produced by Sarah Botstein, Novick and Burns, it includes rarely seen, digitally re-mastered archival footage from sources around the globe, photographs taken by some of the most celebrated photojournalists of the 20th century, historic television broadcasts, evocative home movies, revelatory audio recordings from inside the Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon administrations.
