GENTLE GIANT Live - Playing The Fool (1977 UK 9-track double vinyl LP on the green Chrysalis label, the official live album released after the band's 8th album 'Interview' featuring some superb highlights from the first eight albums showcased in the band's highly accomplished and unique way of brilliantly modifying their tracks for live performance - as much due to their continuing innovation to the sheer complexity of the original studio version. Including the excellent 'Excerpts From Octopus' and ablistering amalgamation of 'Peel The Paint' & 'I Lost My Head' demonstrating just one of the many clever marriages of tracks for their astonishing multi-instrumental live sets. The gatefold picture sleeve which has a great inner spread design using a constellation to map the band's tour comes complete with the hard to find booklet. This collector's copy is fully signed on the front cover in blue biro by the main line-up of Jake Burns, Henry Cluney, Ali McMordie & Jim Reilly [the original drummer on the album Brian Faloon left shortly after the recordings].
