DIRE STRAITS Brothers In Arms (UK/EU limited edition 9-track double album 2-LP pressed on 180-gram black vinyl, mastered from the original analogue and digital masters by Bernie Grundman and Bob Ludwig, with lacquers cut by Chris Bellman and Bernie Grundman. Single pocket picture sleeve with original cover artwork, factory sealed)
#Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time

Tracklisting: Brothers In Arms brought the atmospheric, jazz-rock inclinations of Love Over Gold into a pop setting, resulting in a surprise international bestseller. Of course, the success of Brothers In Arms was helped considerably by the clever computer-animated video for "Money for Nothing" and a sardonic attack by MTV. But what kept the record selling was Knopfler's increased sense of pop songcraft - "Money For Nothing" had an incredible guitar riff, "Walk Of Life" is a catchy uptempo boogie variation on "Sultans of Swing," and the melodies of the bluesy "So Far Away" and downtempo Everly Brothers-style "Why Worry" were wistful and lovely. Dire Straits had never been so concise or pop-oriented, and it wore well on the album. Side One 1. So Far Away 2. Money For Nothing Side Two 3. Walk Of Life 4. Your Latest Trick Side Three 5. Why Worry 6. Ride Across The River Side Four 7. The Man's So Strong 8. One World 9. Brothers In Arms
ROLLING STONES The Rolling Stones (Rare 1964 UK first press second variant 12-track mono vinyl LP with red unboxed Decca logo label with 'Recording First Published 1964', 'Cromwell Music' publishing credit and 'Hurran, Calvert' for Honest I Do. Features the long version of 'Tell Me', - Matrix reads XARL-6272-3A for side 2 confirming this edition of the first mono pressing, front laminated picture sleeve listing I Need You Baby. See 'more info' for condition details LK4605)

Tracklisting: 01. Route 66 02. I Just Want To Make Love To You 03. Honest I Do 04. I Need You Baby 05. Now I've Got A Witness 06. Little By Little 07. I'm A King Bee 08. Carol 09. Tell Me 10. Can I Get A Witness 11. You Can Make It If You Try 12. Walking The Dog This copy is a first batch, second variant press although Decca employees freely admit that there were multiple typesetters of the labels and they tended to keep the sleeves in a pile, so the combination of sleeve & label is a far from exact science, with many different variations turning up. In reality, this is really still a first press with the modified master that plays the full 4:06 version of 'Tell Me'. The next material difference came in 1965 when the labels dropped the 'Recording First Published' text & just had 'P 1964'. The label lists the 'Hurran/Calvert' credit for 'Honest I Do' as well as listing 'I Need You Baby' instead of 'Mona', the publishing credit c) is Cromwell Music. They also have 'Recording First Published' text, dating this press to Spring 1964. The sleeve is front laminated with 'MONO' printed on the back & 'I Need You Baby' listed instead of 'Mona'. This dates the sleeve to 1964. The sleeve [VG] shows some age yellowing around the edges, laminate lift/corner creasing & minor shelf wear, with a date annotation to the back panel. The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & grades EX- with some light spindle marks & paper hairlines and scuffing to show play.
