THE BEATLES The Beatles' Hottest Hits (Rare original 1965 Danish 12-track vinyl LP in the highly desirable, unique 'Eskimo' front laminated flipback picture sleeve. This copy is best described as VG+ to EX PMCS306)
See 'More Info' for further details on condition ....

Tracklisting: 1. I Feel Fine 2. I Call Your Name 3. I'll Get You 4. From Me To You 5. This Boy 6. She Loves You 7. Long Tall Sally 8. Thank You Girl 9. Matchbox 10. She's A Woman 11. Slow Down 12. I Want To Hold Your Hand One of the rarest Beatles records, only 3000 were pressed of this unique compilation, which was only ever released in Denmark. This collection of 1962-1965 non-album tracks is considered by many to be the highest fidelity pressing of any vinyl Beatles compilation - the high frequencies and bass notes are remarkably clear. The back of the picture sleeve states "Made In Denmark by Skandinavisk Grammophon Aktieselskab" Matrix number in run-out grooves are: XSTX 115 1 - machine stamped XSTX 116 1 - machine stamped The labels are matt black with silver text, even the familar Parlophone logo is printed in silver. There are a few light spindlemarks around the centre hole, though not an excessive amount, nor are they highly noticeable. The vinyl is in wonderful condition. The Danes are not known for looking after their records and usually this album is found in a pretty poor state. On close inspection under bright light there are a few light hairline marks on each side. These seem to be caused by removal of the vinyl from the sleeve and are not stylus marks. None are significantly audible as we've played this album at high volume in the office and the fidelity is fabulous with ambient background noise at a minimum. The sleeve design is similar in design to that of a UK original. It is a front laminated, flipback style picture sleeve. That is where the similarity ends though as the sleeve picture and tracklisting are unique to this album. The condition is remarkable, compared to how they are usually found. The sleeve shows some scuffing at the opening where the laminate finishes about 1mm early & a little age yellowing to the white areas. It is free of any writing. There is a little light creasing to corners with light discolouration to the unlaminated back. All in all, although not perfect, a lot less shelfwear than would be expected. A nice copy of this extremely rare pressing!
