BILL EVANS The Complete Bill Evans On Verve (Limited Edition 1997 US EIGHTEEN CD Box Set, spanning 269 tracks & 21 hours & comprising all of Evans' beautiful recordings for the label between 1962 & 1969, including nineteen albums, two previously unreleased albums & 98 previously unreleased tracks. During these years, the pianist made some of his greatest music, including his legendary Village Vanguard sessions, encased in a 'bulletproof' steel box complete with an exclusive 160-page booklet & an 18-disc fanpack on separate shelves for each CD. The controversial packaging of this box is untreated steel & has been designed to be a unique collector's item that will change in colour, texture, appearance over time & will eventually rust naturally. This one is no exception & has tarnished considerably all over. The discs remain Near Mint. A colossal tome of immense importance & a real treasure for the jazz collector)

SLADE Earls Court 1973 Commemorative Plaque (Fantastic decorative plaque commissioned in 1973 by the legendary concert promoter Mel Bush and presented to each member of Slade to commemorate the success of the 1973 Earls Court Concert. See 'More Info' for further design and dimension details of this attractive piece)

Tracklisting: Mel Bush was a legendary concert promoter in the 1970's and 80's. He promoted such infamous concerts as Bowie's Aladdin Sane tour (where Ziggy 'retired'), Queens early tours and Led Zeppelin at Earls Court. With each of the acts he promoted, once a successful tour or concert was over, Mel Bush would commission a commemorative plaque or mirror as a souvenir of the event, and presented to the artist. The plaque itself is a landscape design measuring 15" x 8" and was commissioned back in '73. The plaque is stylishly screen printed in just one colour, black. It is a simple but effective design that is eye-catching. The promoters details are at the top of the plaque with the band name printed in large black letters dominating most of the item. The venue details and date - Sunday July 1st 1973 are printed at the bottom. This was supposed to be the first concert to take place at the huge Earls Court venue in London and Slade were seen as courageous for taking such a risk, however David Bowie beat them to it by booking the first night of his Aladdin Sane tour at the venue on May 12th. Despite its age this plaque remains in really nice condition, with few signs of patina and some light scuffs. A stunning item.
