Ellington made regular visits to Carnegie Hall. This concert in
December 1943, is significant as it saw the introduction of the suite
'New World's A-Coming', with some great moments of his stride piano;
also included is the obligatory hits medley, alongside a selection of
both new and proven material. Ellington fans will appreciate the
