JOHN 'DRUMBO' FRENCH Beefheart: Through The Eyes Of Magic (2010 UK 864 page [Yes, 864 !] book detailing the incredible time spent as the Drummer of choice with the Magic Band, including transcribing the parts for Trout Mask Replica under tyrannical duress. Drumbo joined The Magic Band at just seventeen years of age, just before recording started on Safe As Milk, and spent the next fourteen years working with Don Van Vliet in various incarnations of The Magic Band. This perfect condition hardback copy contains many rare and previously unseen photographs and in addition has been signed on teh front of the dust jacket by the author himself. At last, a chance to separate fact from myth, written by someone who was in the eye of the storm)
