compilation, a resumé of the band's career up to 'Strange Magic' - this
was the original promotional-only intended issue pressed on Gold Vinyl, laterreleased for
the shops due to growing popularity as an ELO collectable, with
custom 'DJ Use Only' printed labels & picture sleeve with brief notes
on each track. The card sleeve displays some minor general wear with
some light creases to thecorners and some light edge wear, but has
no splits of rips, and the vinyl looks barely played SP-123) |

stereo LP mastered by Ryan K. Smith at Sterling Sound from
the original analogue tapes and pressed at Quality Record
Pressings on 180-gram Heavyweight Vinyl. Recorded
live at the Village Vanguard, New York on 2nd & 3rd November
1961, this was Trane's first official 'live' album and he is
joined here on two tunes by the wonderful Eric Dolphy on bass
clarinet, plus veteran sidemen McCoy Tyner on piano, Elvin
Jones on drums, and Jimmy Garrison & Reggie Workman
alternating on bass. The high quality gatefold picture sleeve
[printed by Stoughton Printing Co] replicates the original
artwork and comes with a custom insert while the vinyl looks
barely played)
Tracklisting: Sax virtuoso John Coltrane "Live" at the Village Vanguard (Impulse! AS-10), was Trane's first official "live" album.
