A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...
 | THE STRANGLERS Peaches: The Very Best Of The Stranglers
(2020 UK/EU limited edition 20-track double album 2-LP,
originally released in 2002 and now available on vinyl for the
first time. An accomplished collection and a great introduction
to the post-punk & sometimes pop sound of the self-styled
'Men In Black', featuring classics such as Golden Brown, No
More Heroes, Skin Deep, Strange Little Girl, Always The Sun,
Grip '89, and many more. Gatefold picture sleeve with hype
sticker,factory sealed. Recommended)1
Tracklisting: For the first time on vinyl, The Stranglers 'Peaches (The Very Best Of)' is to be made available as a double-LP set. Released on 27 November, this will be the only Stranglers' best-of compilation available on vinyl.
The Stranglers formed in early 1974 and emerged via the punk rock scene building a fan base and reputation for their aggressive and uncompromising style, but the band's sound developed throughout their career never being pigeonholed to a genre. As a result, their body of work (they continue to record to this day) is varied and hugely celebrated.
To date, the band have scored 23 UK top 40 singles and 17 UK top 40 albums. The Stranglers are one of the longest-surviving and most renown bands to have originated in the UK punk scene. 'Peaches (The Very Best Of)' is a collection of their most famous celebrated songs for the first two decades of their illustrious career including iconic tracks such as 'Peaches', 'Golden Brown', 'No More Heroes' and 'Hanging Around'.

 | DIRE STRAITS Brothers In Arms (UK/EU limited edition
9-track double album 2-LP pressed on 180-gram black vinyl,
mastered from the original analogue and digital masters by
Bernie Grundman and Bob Ludwig, with lacquers cut by Chris
Bellman and Bernie Grundman. Single pocket picture sleeve
with original cover artwork, factory sealed) #Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time
Tracklisting: Brothers In Arms brought the atmospheric, jazz-rock inclinations of Love Over Gold into a pop setting, resulting in a surprise international bestseller. Of course, the success of Brothers In Arms was helped considerably by the clever computer-animated video for "Money for Nothing" and a sardonic attack by MTV. But what kept the record selling was Knopfler's increased sense of pop songcraft - "Money For Nothing" had an incredible guitar riff, "Walk Of Life" is a catchy uptempo boogie variation on "Sultans of Swing," and the melodies of the bluesy "So Far Away" and downtempo Everly Brothers-style "Why Worry" were wistful and lovely. Dire Straits had never been so concise or pop-oriented, and it wore well on the album.

 | THE ROLLING STONES Beggars Banquet (Record Store Day 2023 UK/EU
limited edition 10-track LP pressed on 180-gram Swirling Mass Of Grey, Blue, Black And
White Coloured Vinyl. Gatefold picture sleeve
with original 'graffiti toilet' cover artwork, replica 11" x 18"
fold-out colour poster and spine obi. Factory sealed) #Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time
Tracklisting: The Rolling Stones returned to their blues roots in 1968 on Beggars Banquet, albeit in a radical new way, which was immediately acclaimed as one of their landmark achievements. The introduction of legendary producer Jimmy Miller refocused the band with enthralling results.
A strong acoustic Delta blues flavour colours much of the material, particularly Prodigal Son and Jagger & Richards’ No Expectations.
Incendiary and rebellious rock ‘n’ roll is not forgotten, with Street Fighting Man and Sympathy for the Devil – two of their greatest, and most provocative songs. The lyrical bite of the material ensured Beggars Banquet’s place as one of the top blues-based rock records of all time.
Author Stephen Davis described it as “…a sharp reflection of the convulsive psychic currents coursing through the Western world. Nothing else captured the youthful spirit of Europe in 1968 like Beggar's Banquet.”
Chicago Sun-Times – January 1969, exclaimed - “…beautiful – their rawest, rudest, most arrogant, most savage record yet”
This Record Store Day edition is pressed on heavyweight grey, blue, black and white swirl vinyl as an ode to the lyric “a swirling mass of grey, blue, black and white” from Salt of the Earth as performed in The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus.
Features original ‘graffiti’ album artwork, and a replica of an original window display poster.
